a tradition that goes back to the 80’s. With respect for the traditions,
the game adds new twists and turns to the familiar formula. The Night
Christmas Ended aims to please veteran gamers of the genre, at the same
time it also welcomes new gamers by making it easy to pick up and play.
So team up with the world’s biggest goblin on his quest for gold and be
a total Christmas bastard.

How Let’s Players helped form the game

The Night Christmas Ended is the third version of Giant Goblin Studio’s first game. We have worked with a model where we have put out a free version of the game, to get feedback from gamers around the world. Then we put the project aside for half a year to get fresh eyes on it. We repeated this process twice, in order to finally make the third and final version of the game that is on sale this Christmas.

Let’s players have been a big part of this process, so much that we had a couple of them doing some voice work in the game. Let’s players have been a great help designing the game, because they have not kept anything back, since they neither knew us personally or knew that we saw their videos. Where game tests often are very focused on the details, the let’s players were more focused on the game as a whole. Was it fun or not fun to play?
