New search trends analysis released to coincide with the global launch of the new Nintendo Switch console today, reveals a 94% increase in online searches by consumers for Nintendo’s new console in the past two weeks.
Captify, a Search Intelligence driven advertising technology company, which analyses 30 billion online monthly searches, also found that the Nintendo brand had doubled in online searches in the past two weeks. It experienced a 52% increase, making it the most searched for gaming brand ahead of Xbox (18%) and Playstation (15%) in the last two weeks.
Consumers were also most likely to search for information about Switch on mobile (45% of searches) than desktop (at 43%), followed by tablet (8%).
