Opinion – Four Top Games to Play on your PC

If someone were to ask which console is the best, many if not most would argue the Xbox One or the PS4. However, a lot of gamers have stayed loyal to their trusty computers and deem them the best gaming platform to date, regardless of the technological advancements. Seen as a more hardcore gaming approach, the computer can offer a broader range of gaming platforms which consoles lack in, and offers an easier approach when purchasing thanks to Steam.

If you are thinking of giving your Xbox, Playstation or Nintendo a break, these are the best games you should invest time and money in.

Resident Evil VII: Biohazard

A beloved franchise with a popular following, Resident Evil VII: Biohazard lived up to the hype. Although there have been numerous sequels to the original, the seventh instalment has been deemed the most relevant and true sequel from the piloting episode.

The game was marketed as a heart-pounding scare fest, and from the collections of positive reviews this game has accumulated, the marketing was spot on with their teasers and trailers. Players will find themselves shaken to their core as they stumble through dilapidated houses and swamps.

Although this game has been out for more than a month now, players are still actively raving about its contents, and continuing to log in gaming hours with the additional content being released through instalments.

Resident Evil VII is available on the PC, as well as VR, Playstation and Xbox.

Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley is an indie farming simulation game, but before you scoff, make sure to read the reviews on Steam and witness its 10/10 rating. Many people have found themselves heavily involved with this game, logging in hours of constant gameplay as they wake up early, and/or stay up late into the depths of the night.

This is perfect for fans of Harvest Moon and Fantasy Life and is the ideal companion for gamers seeking an addictive, slow burning game which you could spend days, weeks or even months playing continuously.

Jurassic Park

If RPG is not your thing, then try your luck with this highly-rated slot machine. If you’re a fan of the 1993 classic, then you’re in luck with this online game featuring T-Rex Alerts, Dilophosaurus Winning Wild and Triceratops Running Wilds.

Alternatively, you can play Jurassic Park: The Game which is an episodic graphic adventure video game based on the films. Although a few years old, this game provides fans with the ability to play through their favourite film as if they were the characters themselves.

Dark Souls 3

This gaming series is notorious for its difficult and anger-inducing gameplay; however, Dark Souls 3 is arguably not as tough as previous entries in the series. Although this game is challenging and takes a lot of time to master the complex combat system, casual players or players new to this fantastical world will find this more tolerable than its predecessors. Just watch out for the inevitable deaths your character will stumble upon!
