Second European Championship main final to be featured live on stage – College Championships initiative coming to Europe and Americas – South American Championship final this Sunday
Universities across the world are investing in Esports College leagues and Hoplon is looking to take this initiative to Brazil, by assisting in the unearthing of competitive gamers at student level. In addition to Brazil, Hoplon is looking to target College Championships throughout Europe (Germany, Russia, Portugal and Italy) and the Americas.
“With every Heavy Metal Machines championship, we’ve noticed a rise in interest amongst players across the globe, therefore we’ve decided to take the next step by taking local play to live stage finals to really rev-up the competitiveness and turn up the pressure,” said Tatiana Moreira, Head of Marketing and Publishing. “The College Championships initiative is a great way to discover the latest talent in competitive gaming, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.”
The championships can be watched live in English from the official Heavy Metal Machines channels:
Currently in Open Beta, Heavy Metal Machines is filled with intuitive fast-paced action, team play elements, unique MOBA gameplay and a heavy metal soundtrack, aspiring esports players, or current professionals from around the world can play on the South American server. Over the summer Hoplon released a number of updates that saw the introduction of leaderboards and bomb updates, so that the MOBA was ready for competitive play.
