Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced that its annual PES World Finals will take place at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium, where the great PES 2012 players from around the globe will gather to compete for the accolade of World’s Best PES player.
The best PES 2012 players from Europe, the Americas and Japan will be gathered for the grand event on September 14th. 38 competitors will head to the Bernabeu’s VIP area where The Palco de Honor area will be divided into two areas with one side lined with pods for the competition, and the other featuring a video wall that will keep players informed of their progress and other results. KONAMI will also be live-streaming the event via its KONAMI OnAir service, with PES fans able to watch the unfolding action via www.pesworldfinals.com.
The PES World Finals begins with a group stage wherein each player competes within 10-minute matches. The top two players from each group will then progress to knock-out stages before the grand final. The ultimate winner will then be crowned champion, the latest in a long line of PES stars.
“The PES World Finals are the culmination of a year of solid PES 2012 activity, and a chance for the best players to gather and show their skills,” commented Martin Schneider, General Manager for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “The Santiago Bernabeu is a ground that has played host to some of the world’s greatest players in its time, so it is fitting that this year’s event takes place within its hallowed walls.”
