SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE GAME
– The slowest, lowest octane driving sim ever made rewards slow driving –
Calling all keyboard racers! In order to raise awareness of MORE TH>N SM>RT WHEELS – the black box car insurance that rewards you for safe driving – the insurer has created what might just be the slowest and safest driving sim ever made (and certainly the first ever video game based on an insurance policy).
Developed by VCCP on behalf of MORE TH>N the new driving game is a 16-bit unlike any other, eschewing the need for speed seen in typical driving games for the lowest octane virtual motoring experience possible. Instead of finishing in the quickest possible time, the aim of the game is to get there safely as possible. Collect coins, avoid collisions, keep to the speed limit and most importantly let the grannies cross the road!
So why is safety at the heart of the fun? MORE TH>N want to engage and encourage parents and young drivers to enjoy the benefits of safe driving, as SM>RT WHEELS rewards good driving behaviour through monetary incentives. Insights revealed that alongside often high insurance costs, one of the biggest worries parents of young people have is about their safety when they first get on the road alone MORE TH>N want to address both these issues by encouraging parents to get the SM>RT WHEELS black box for their kids, which in turn helps them stay safe and save.
The game can be played here http://www.morethansmartwheelsgame.com/. It will be well worth the practice as those who score 1000 or more in the game and enter the prize draw between 23rd Oct and 13th Nov will be in with the chance of winning a £1,000 cash prize.
Danielle Stooke, Senior Brand Manager at MORE TH>N said: “My aim at MORE TH>N is to find new, interesting and innovative ways to reach and engage with our audience. This addictive game is a fantastic way for us to demonstrate how SM>RT WHEELS is motor insurance with a difference; where good driving is rewarded with money back and savings, and importantly helps to keep young drivers safe. It’s also great fun to play too!“
Andy Booth, Creative Director at VCCP added: “MORE TH>N SM>RT WHEELS is a fantastic product which actively encourages and rewards safe driving behaviours. What better way to reflect this than a brilliantly addictive 16-bit driving game, that appeals not only to the young drivers that need affordable insurance, but also their worried parents who’ll often end up paying for it. ”
