We are an independent Swedish game development studio located in Stockholm close to the Globe Arena. We are comprised of experienced and skilled developers and have been involved as subcontractors in a number of AAA titles for consoles and PC as well as developed our own games.
Our most recent games are Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West and Hamilton’s Great Adventure. Lead and Gold was released in 2010 to PSN and Steam while Hamilton’s Great Adventure is to be released in Q2 2011. We have also developed Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 for Capcom.
We take pride in our high level of experience from our work as subcontractors, as we feel it adds another level of understanding on the relation between us and our clients. We have experience working in all stages of a project, from planning and conceptualization, pre-production, production as well as finalization.
Hamilton’s Great Adventure (May 2011)
With the release of Hamilton’s Great Adventure, Fatshark takes a huge leap as a company. This is our first self published game and we are very proud of it!
It’s also an entirely new direction genre wise, since our main focus had until now been on third person shooters for hardcore gamers. Hamilton’s Great Adventure is a completely different beast, throwing the player into a beautiful story-driven puzzle/adventure for all ages.
Progress through 60+ levels set in four unique and visually stunning environments. Enjoy co-op or single player gameplay featuring both action puzzling and traditional problem solving. Immerse yourself into the fantastical storyline filled with extravagant escapades and memorable characters. Join in on the fun as Hamilton’s Great Adventure delivers an exhilarating experience of exceptional family entertainment!
Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 (January 2011)
In January 2010 we were honored to start developing the sequel to the very successful Bionic Commando franchise that was resurrected by Capcom together with Swedish developer GRIN.
Working with Capcom, an international Japanese top publisher, was a valuable learning experience for us. This was Fatshark’s first XBLA title as an independent developer and we are well pleased that we developed this multi-console game in less than a year, quiet a feat!
Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 takes platforming action back to its 2D roots, but with a slew of modern day upgrades like vibrant, cutting edge visuals and a brand new retro-remixed soundtrack. New features such as the biovision scanner, customizable arm components, and character upgrades will take ‘Radd’ Spencer’s abilities to the next level! The game is available on Xbox Live® Arcade and Playstation® Network.
Lead and Gold (April 2010)
With Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West, Fatshark took the step from being a pure subcontractor to operating as a developer able to publish our own games. Fatshark teamed up with Paradox Interactive on this title and the cooperation between the companies has been strong ever after. We developed the game in less than a year for both
Playstation® Network and PC and we still release patches and free content whenever possible. Lead and Gold was a great success story for Fatshark and gave us a good platform to continue to create great games. Over 400 000 players have played the game on Steam and the positive reviews and comparisons to Team Fortress 2 are flattering and appreciated.
The game was primarily sold through digital distribution channels on PC and Playstation® Network but a boxed PC version was available in a few countries, including a spell at Walmart in the US.
The game is a third-person shooter that delivers an intense team-based multiplayer experience. Relive the violent era of the Wild West with adrenaline-fueled action and fast-paced gunfights. Engage in gritty battles in beautifully rendered classic Western settings. Players test their mettle in genre-specific game modes and levels tailor-made for satisfying team play.
Lead and Gold features the unique synergy system, which provides power-ups to encourage co-operation and team tactics. This system accentuates the frantic shooter and objective-oriented gameplay by rewarding players who focus on cooperation and play as a team.
- Four playable characters with different strengths and weaknesses, adding depth and variety
- A multitude of different game modes and settings, all with a distinct feeling of the Old West, providing increased longevity
- Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West uses the synergy system to reward players that play as a team
- Game modes and mechanics are designed to be easy to understand
