Developer of Global Hit Mobile RPG series ‘Dark Avenger’ and ‘Darkness Reborn’ Enhance Nexon’s Mobile Pipeline Worldwide
NEXON Co., Ltd (“Nexon”) (3659.TO), a worldwide leader in free-to-play online games, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, NEXON Korea Corporation (“Nexon Korea”), entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all outstanding shares of Boolean Games (“Boolean Games”), a leading mobile game development studio based in Korea. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2012, Boolean Games is most well-known for its Dark Avenger series, which achieved over 30 million downloads worldwide. Darkness Reborn, the sequel to Dark Avenger, hit over 10 million global downloads in just three months since its launch in November 2014.

Darkness Reborn will continue to be published by the current publisher, GAMEVIL Inc.(“Gamevil”). In addition, Nexon and Gamevil will seek to actively cooperate in growing the mobile game business of both companies.
