Game will feature first-ever in a game iTunes integration, new soundtracks, free DLC
THREAKS GmbH is pleased to announce that iPad and iPhone gamers will soon be able to play the PC hit action-adventure game Beatbuddy on their mobile devices this September.
Completely redesigned for touch controls but with the same stunning PC graphics, players will guide the titular Beatbuddy through six beautiful hand-drawn worlds, each with their own unique song by renown artists such as Parov Stelar, Austin Wintory, Sabrepulse and more, to save the music of Symphonia.
Originally launched on Steam August 2013 and available on Windows, Mac, and Linux, Beatbuddy combines puzzle solving and enemy vanquishing with exploration. Each colorful, lovingly-animated world moves to the beat of its exclusive soundtrack, and players who master moving and attacking to the rhythm will have a distinct upper hand.
Post-launch, Beatbuddy will feature free monthly DLC featuring new songs that enable new ways to experience the game’s levels. All of the music will be available to purchase from iTunes via a first-ever in games in-app purchase API. Music purchased in-app will be available as an interactive remix version in-game, further expanding the playability of each world.
Beatbuddy will be available in September 2014. Pricing, specific launch date, and much more will be shared in the weeks to come.
