Beware of the Darkness – Treacherous Creatures are Out There
Russian indie developer Yadon Studio announced today that The Abandoned, a new survival title on mobile, is now available for iOS and Android devices. Published with the support from Gaijin Entertainment, the creator of the epic WWII military simulation game War Thunder, The Abandoned is a single-player horror adventure experience that tests players’ survival skills as they must find a way to survive with their sanity intact. The Abandoned is available for $1.99/€1.99/£1.49 on:
“The launch of ‘The Abandoned’ marks the start of our latest support project, Gaijin inCubator, established to fund indie developers with unique game ideas”, said Anton Yudintsev, CEO of Gaijin Entertainment. “The Abandoned’ is an interesting, high quality mobile title, and we hope that both fans of the survival genre and casual gamers will agree after embarking on this horror adventure.”
In The Abandoned players aim to survive for as long as possible while trapped in the Zone, a mysterious and haunted place full of flesh eating creatures and unpredictable anomalies that could drive the character insane. Keeping fear levels stabilized and the morale bar full gets harder after each encounter with nightly beasts and requires a well thought out plan of action. Preparations to withstand the horrors presented include not only having to hunt for food, gather supplies and build storage and shelter structures, but players must also upgrade their character by collecting skillpoints and various artefacts or crafting items from some 100 recipes available, (including stone axes and even a portable laboratory!); thus giving them plenty of strategic possibilities to choose from. The Abandoned features one of the biggest maps available in the genre as well as alternating day and night cycles, which make it more challenging to find food and bypass evil enemies at night time.
The game also offers three modes to satisfy different types of gamers from casual to hardcore survival enthusiasts. Players can either complete challenging quests in Adventure mode, test their skills and patience playing from the start every time they die in Survival mode or have a checkpoint option in Story mode, which also provides more than 10 hours of gameplay along with an interesting and detailed plot.
