Hi, we are Fivefor, one of the most well known VR gaming studios in Japan. Fivefor will be exhibiting our super hit sword fight VR game “Circle of Saviors” at E3 2017. We are exhibiting outside of Japan for the first time ever, seeking for international partnerships, distributors and investors to expand our business to a global scale.
Our VR/MR sword slinging game, “Circle of Saviors” is well known for the 60fps gaming experience and the third person multi-MR viewer, where the audience can also enjoy watching the game while the player plays the game with their VR headsets on. You might have seen us before if you’ve ever seen a video with a school girl slashing giant monsters at the Tokyo Game Show 2016.

Our new version of “Circle of Saviors” will be exhibited at E3, which will be the first exhibit ever outside of Japan. The gaming experience is new and improved, and the backend technology is also at the top level in this industry.
At the E3 show, we will be exhibiting a playable demo with new features, such as multiplayer mode (sword & crossbow), third person MR multi-angle viewer, twin MR mixer, and the extended forward mask system.

Below are details of Fivefor’s technology we are going to exhibit at E3.
Circle of Saviors is a multi player monster sword fighting game. Player 1 will put on the HMD and use their sword and shield to fight monsters. Player 2 will have a MR monitor attached crossbow to shoot down flying monsters attacking Player 1. Player 2 will also need to move around to dodge attacks from monsters in the game. A boss will appear at the end of the stage, where both players need to cooperate to defeat the boss.
- MR( Mixed Reality) technology
When people talk about MR, the view shown to the audience is usually the actual view that the player with the HMD (Head Mount Display) is seeing. Fivefor’s MR technology has multiple cameras around the booth and a crossbow type weapon camera which could show the user playing the game at a third person view. This will help the audience see the player actually “inside” a world fighting the monsters.
Fivefor also has proprietary technology to maintain the 60 fps video quality from the MR-BOX, combining multiple screens with low latency.
- Multi-angle MR
The Fivefor booth will have multiple fixed point cameras, and a “crossbow weapon camera” which Player 2 can carry around during gameplay. Our monitor can display and switch multiple views for the audience.
- Twin MR
Fivefor can process 2 screen VR compositions at once, and display the view to each monitor.
- Extended Forward Mask
Player 2’s MR camera has the function to automatically show graphics in realtime which extends further from the green back screen.
