Clan Tournament glory plus new map brings the fight to London’s Tower Bridge
Nexon Europe has announced that hit multiplayer shooter Combat Arms will host a Clan Tournament this month, in addition to receiving a substantial new content and systems update.
On 22nd April Combat Arms Clan Championship kicks-off pitting shooter communities against one another for the ultimate glory of being crowned the number one CA clan. Every clan will be automatically entered into the tournament, with their daily performance being used as the metric to rank them on a daily leader board. On 6th May, the top 20 clans will be asked to choose five members to represent their clan in the final matches – which will take place from 6th to 8th May.
“Spring will be an exciting time to be part of the Combat Arms community” said Eray Yumuratci, Community Manager at Nexon Europe. “The Clan Championship will be an absolute blast and I can’t wait to see our clans go head to head in the challenge to become the number one Combat Arms’ clan.”
In addition to the tournament, a new content update will introduce a brand new PvP map to the game and a number of fresh systems.
The new map is based on London’s iconic Tower Bridge and features infamous trademark London images such as the red buses, black cabs and the Shard. Teams will start at each end of the narrow bridge, and battle amongst multiple wrecked vehicles in an intense combat setting.
Alongside the new map, a Guide System will be implemented that will give advice to players of all experience levels. The messages will be displayed during loading and respawn/death screens (the latter of which have undergone a redesign to accommodate the new information) and will be tailored to the game mode and map currently in play.
The update also brings with it a Nickname Background Change Item, which, as the name suggests allows players to change the background and frame around their nickname. While a new Playtime Reward System will reward users that have played Combat Arms for a certain amount of time. A new gauge will be displayed in the lobby window that will count down until the next reward is unlocked. Players can check upcoming playtime goals and rewards at any time.
