Gamer Network, the world’s leading network of independent video games websites and producer of the UK’s premiere video games events, and world-renowned publisher Creative Assembly, today announced a huge Total War presence at next month’s EGX Rezzed consumer gaming event.
Celebrating 15 years of the award-winning Total War strategy game series, Creative Assembly will give visitors hands-on opportunities, a revealing developer session and exclusive product giveaways across the three days of the event, 12-14th March.
Playable at EGX Rezzed will be brand new Total War: ATTILA and many previous Total War titles, including the original SHOGUN: Total War, MEDIEVAL: Total War, Total War: SHOGUN II, Total War: ROME II and more.
Players will also have an opportunity to get hands-on with the newest title from the Total War Battles team – Total War Battles: KINGDOM. Currently in Closed Beta, the cross-platform online game is set to light the strategy genre on fire come its release later this year. A limited number of lucky visitors each day of the show will walk away with a Beta key.
In addition, throughout the duration of EGX Rezzed, Creative Assembly will be giving away 1000 gifts to people who play any of the Total War titles at the show. Gifts include Steam keys for most of the Total War titles, t-shirts and Art of Total War books. Some extra special prizes are also available, including:
- An exclusive Total War: ROME II painted PC
- A replica Viking helmet
- A Nightblade B85 PCs worth £800 or a Multi Touch Screen Gaming All In One PC worth £2000 (thanks to giveaway partner MSI)
As if this wasn’t enough, the Total War developers will also be hosting a special developer session on Friday 13th at 2pm GMT entitled ‘A Game of Bones – 15 Years of Battle Animation in Total War’. The session will give Total War fans old and new insight about how the animation process has evolved in Total War games over the last 15 years.
“Having reached our fifteenth year of developing Total War games, we are thrilled to share this journey with everyone attending EGX Rezzed this year”, says Kevin McDowell, Total War Art Director. “It’s been a fantastic voyage for Creative Assembly and we are excited to offer a glimpse of what makes battle animations possible in a Total War game, from old to new”.
