NEXT Studio’s First Game is a Commercial Success!
Death Coming, the indie title that puts players in the mystical robe of the Grim Reaper, has now sold over 100 thousand copies. Thanks to the game’s non-linear design, stylized pixel art, and light-hearted comedy, Death Coming has been enjoyed by thousands of players all over the world. Player reception has been very positive, with over 1200 User Reviews granting Death Coming a rating of “Overwhelmingly Positive”.
In a response from Next Studio, the dev team stated that “The reception we received from fans and critics alike has been overwhelming. We’ve put our hearts and souls into Death Coming, and we couldn’t be happier with our first release on Steam. If this is the reaction from our first game, we can’t wait to show you what we have in store for the future!”
Death Coming’s history is as event-filled as its premise when the title was released on Early Access in November. However, due to a mix-up, the game was removed from Early Access prematurely. This minor accident was taken in good humor, and the full release of Death Coming was officially out on November 29. Before its official release, Death Coming was showcased at PAX West, PAX Australia, and at San Fran’s Folsom Street Foundry for “GameVibes Thursday”.
Death Coming is now available on Steam for fans of wacky puzzles and cute pixel art for $6.99.
