Game’s creator Dean Hall promises something “really special”.
Gamer Network is pleased to announce that Dean Hall from Bohemia Interactive will present a DayZ developer session and take part in a live developer interview at this year’s EGX Rezzed event, taking place at The NEC, Birmingham, from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th March.
Hall, better known to the PC gaming community as Rocket, is head of the team behind the new standalone version of zombie survival sim DayZ, which went live on Steam Early Access in December and has sold over 800,000 copies since then.
“I think I’ll put something really special on for the DayZ session,” said Hall, who also appeared at the show in its first two years.
The DayZ developer session will take place in the EGX Rezzed session auditorium on Friday 28th March at 1pm BST. Fans will also get the chance to quiz Hall as part of a live developer interview on the same stage on Saturday 29th at 5pm. Both sessions will be streamed live on Eurogamer.net.
25,000 visitors are expected at EGX Rezzed 2014, now in its third year. The show began life devoted solely to PC and independent gaming and remains dedicated to showcasing those titles, such as DayZ. This year, for the first time, the show also welcomes console titles, including some of the big next-generation games due out in 2014.
In addition to a show floor full of playable games, EGX Rezzed also hosts a full schedule of developer sessions on each of its three days. More details on those along with the line-up of playable games will be announced in the coming weeks.
