Mobile gaming is massive and it is only going to get bigger. We were recently overjoyed to find out that Nintendo had entered into an agreement with DeNA to bring the extensive back catalogue of games to the mobile world by the end of the year.
While it is going to be awesome to be able to play Pokemon or Super Mario on our mobiles, the truth of the matter is we still have a long time to wait until the Nintendo mobile gaming revolution. With that in mind, here are few downloadable games to keep your mind at ease until Ash, Mario, and Link turn up.
Implosion
Taiwanese company Rayark made a bold move with Implosion but it looks to have paid off, with the game boasting superb visuals and gameplay as well as being compatible for the NVIDIA Shield. The story is minimal, but that does not matter all too much. What people care about is the action and this game is packed with it. You play Jake, humanity’s last hope against the alien Xada. In order to get to enemy you have to run around slaying armoured monsters, starting out with the humble sword before moving up to an arsenal of galactic weaponry. There is not a touchscreen combat game currently on the market that is as good as Implosion.
Mobile Casino
Playing at a mobile casino can be very good fun, as well as coming with less in-game purchases. With slots like Pots O‘ Plenty and Marvel’s Blade and SpiderMan proving to be very popular, more and more people are signing up to mobile casinos. Choice has always been one of the best features of mobile casinos. Besides slots you have table games as well as bingo and others. What is more, for those who are not inclined to gamble, most allow their clients to play for free.
Mortal Kombat X
If ever there was a console game more befitting mobile gaming it would have to be Mortal Kombat. Simple games work best on mobiles and Mortal Kombat certainly hits that brief. The gameplay is fast and furious, the finishers are every bit as good as you remember, and it keeps you entertained for anywhere between 10 minutes and an hour.
Pie In The Sky: A Pizza Odyssey
As just mentioned, the trick to a successful mobile game is keeping it simple. A Pizza Odyssey certainly delivers on this front. In this endless runner you simply steer to avoid obstacles and collect crates whilst tapping on customers that you drive past to drop off your pizza. Throughout the game you earn dollars which can be used to upgrade your pizzeria, and collect various toppings that allow you to craft your own signature pizza. It is very much Doodle Jump with pizza. It is not ground-breaking but it is easy to play, while the colour scheme, music, settings and overall gameplay are incredibly amusing.
