- Don’t run in head first
Remember, the game doesn’t feature health regeneration anymore. You’ve got to rely on your mates to patch you up so keep your eyes open and focus on your 5 and 20s.
- Stealth comes at a cost
Remember, if you are going to try and remain covert you are slower and weapon ranges are far shorter. It’s all up close and personal when you’re a member of the Airborne Division.
- Get to cover quickly
Battlefields can be a haze of bullets. Use the new ‘hit-the-deck’ function to quickly get out of the way, regroup and carry on with the fight.
- Offence is the best form of defence.
Keep an aggressive but controlled mindset. Taking the fight to the enemy keeps them on the back foot and allows you and your team to push forward – remain stationary and you’ll end up fighting your way out of a hole.
- Storm the beach quickly
When storming beaches have the back of the beach as your initial goal and cover open ground quickly while hard targeting.
- Don’t be obvious
If you’re going to be a sniper in the Mountain Division, don’t pick the obvious clock tower. Look for the most hideous, uninviting bit of ground and be there. Have escape routes and remain disciplined.
- Use fear to your advantage
It’s a realistic game, so you’d be forgiven for having a bit of fear. Use that fear and adrenalin to get a grip of yourself and focus yourself in a firefight.
- Don’t camp
Always be on the move. Hiding in a corner with your sights aimed at a door might seem like a good idea but, in the heat of a fight, you don’t know how many are just around the corner. You don’t want to be a sitting duck.
- Be versatile
The Infantry Division are the most versatile in the game and allow you to adapt to the enemy you’re facing – but you’ve got to be able to make decisions in an instant, cycling between well grouped shots with your M1 and controlled charges with your bayonet.
- Remember: mutual support is key
This is a team work job. Have your team close by and make sure you’re there for them too. I’ve never been in a fight and not relied on the man next to me. You are a brotherhood remember.
