Gismart, mobile developer and publisher behind the portfolio of top charting entertainment apps and hyper-casual games, has revealed its plan to enter the casual game market. With the global mobile gaming market expected to generate $72 billion this year alone, a figure projected to rise in 2021, Gismart is seeking to increase its share of the booming industry.
The new line of business for the company will seе it establish several dedicated casual games teams. The company is currently working on two casual games that will be launched across 2021.
“Whilst we are not in a position to reveal too many details about our upcoming releases, the games will fill a niche that we believe is not as crowded as the others but is actively growing. We have put together a great team. Some of the team has been working at Gismart for a while. Others joined us after working at different game companies on well-known products. In the last couple of years, Gismart has seen success with its hyper-casual game releases (ex. football-themed game Cool Goal! have reached the free games top chart in over 60 countries and generated 60 million downloads). Besides hyper-casual releases, the company achieved significant results launching idle games among which female-focused Baby and Mom Idle 3D games and recently launched Little Ant Colony that is quickly rising in the app stores gaming charts. Before entering the gaming market, the company earned its name as one of the leading music entertainment app developers, creating a portfolio of successful music-related entertainment titles. Currently, there are more than 40 apps and games in the company’s portfolio. These have contributed to the company being named by the Financial Times as the 6th fastest-growing company in Europe in March 2020, amounting to almost 9000% absolute revenue growth over three years.
