Today, Tripwire Interactive is delighted to unveil the latest installment of the multi-part developer diary series for the highly anticipated PC title, KILLING FLOOR 2. In the follow-up to last month’s The Gore: Part 1, the brand new installment, The Gore: Part 2 continues to dissect the bloody chaos created by the myriad of weapons available in the game – varying from pistols to rifles to shotguns and of course the deadly but versatile, Katana. New blood and gore systems are the cornerstones of KILLING FLOOR 2 and it’s up to players to paint the world red by dismembering Zeds! Join the Tripwire Interactive team as they take viewers on this behind-the-scenes look at the development of KILLING FLOOR 2!
In KILLING FLOOR 2, players descend into continental Europe where the outbreak caused by Horzine Biotech’s failed experiment has quickly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralyzing the European Union— Just one month after the events in the original KILLING FLOOR, the specimen clones are everywhere and civilization is in disarray; communications have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. The people of Europe know survival and self-preservation too well and lucky survivors have gone into hiding.
Not all have given up hope though… A group of civilians and mercenaries have banded together to combat the outbreak and established privately funded operation bases across Europe. Upon tracking specimen clone outbreaks, players will descend into zed-laden hot zones and exterminate them.
KILLING FLOOR 2 is developed and published by Tripwire Interactive for the PC and SteamOS, and is currently slated for release in 2015. This title has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
