Our game doesn’t exist without William Shakespeare.
The title itself, Knee Deep, comes from a phrase coined by the Bard in his play “The Winter’s Tale:”
“Inch-thick, knee-deep, o’er head and ears a forked one! Go play, boy, play: thy mother plays, and I play too, but so disgraced a part whose issue will hiss me to my grave. Contempt and clamour will be my knell. Go play, boy, play.”
This month marks four centuries since Shakespeare’s death. The Prologue Games team celebrates his legacy with a short video that features Tamara Bellet – femme fatale in our swamp noir adventure – giving part of a soliloquy from “Macbeth.” You’ll find it on our YouTube channel.
Many thanks are due to our animator, Emanuel Siu, and voice actor Kelley Buttrick for bringing Tamara to life once more!
And if you haven’t delved Knee Deep yet – go play.
Prologue Games is a small indie game development company based in Durham, N.C. We launched the first act of Knee Deep in July 2015. Act 2 launched in November. The final act released March 8. We’ve taken the first two acts to trade shows such as EGX Rezzed, IndieCade East, MIX@SIGGRAPH, IndieMEGABOOTH@EGX 2015, and PAX South with strong positive critical response.
