KONAMI Confirms Streaming Details as Best Gamers Go Head to Head in PES League World Finals with $200,000 First Place Prize up for grabs
Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has announced the details for the World Finals of the 2016/17 PES LEAGUE ROAD TO CARDIFF competition at the Arsenal Stadium in London on June 2nd.
Full live coverage of the tournament will be available on Twitch / www.twitch.tv/pesleague, Facebook / www.facebook.com/PES and YouTube / www.youtube.com/officialpes, where 16 finalists who have battled through national leagues and regional qualifiers to get their spot in the World Finals and the chance to be named the best PES 2017 players in the World. As well as the coveted title, the gamers will compete for a truly life changing $200,000 first prize.
Coverage begins on June 1st where viewers can tune in to the group draw at 7PM (BST), On June 2nd, the action begins at 11AM (BST) where viewers will see behind the scenes action, exclusive interviews with the finalists, and pre-tournament build up including highlights from the regional finals. The tournament will then start with a group stage format, with the top two players from each group qualifying for the nerve wracking knock out stages. The final will take place at 5PM (BST).
The sixteen players heading to London on the June 2nd comprise of eight European qualifiers (four from season 1 and four from season 2), four from the Americas, two from Asia and one representing the Rest of World. The 16th and final place to be secured was decided by a Wildcard Tournament giving finalists from the Road to Cardiff EU Season 1 and Season 2 Regional Finals another chance to qualify for the PES League Road to Cardiff World Finals. On June 3rd, the trophy celebration will be held at the UEFA Champions League Festival main stage, where KONAMI will recognize each player’s progression through the tournament – including a ceremony awarding the new world champion with the official PES League trophy and a $200,000 first prize!
