A celebration of interactive entertainment at Spain’s biggest video games show
From October 16-19, Madrid will once more become the capital of the video game industry
Following its successful debut last year, the second Madrid Games Week will take place from October 16-19 at IFEMA, Feria de Madrid, firmly establishing itself on the calendar of major international video gaming events.
Showing their support for the event are some of the industry’s most prestigious companies including Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Bandai Namco, Badland Games and GAME.
In addition to attendees having the opportunity to play the latest games from established publishers and developers, including the premier of Sony’ s ‘Invoker Tournament’; Madrid Games Week is proud to announce Gamelab Academy. A result of its close collaboration with Gamelab, one of the interactive industry’s most prestigious conferences, Gamelab Academy is dedicated to providing a platform for developers of all sizes to showcase their projects to both their peers and the gaming public.
Positioning itself as a truly international show, Madrid Games Week is proud to welcome over 40 developers from Poland to the Entrepreneurs and Developers area, where they will be presenting forthcoming projects and sharing their experiences of the development process.
Madrid Games Week isn’t just a celebration of future titles and following its great reception last year, RetroMadrid returns, with its unrivalled collection of classic games and consoles.
Visitors to the show will also be able to attend a series of debates run by AVEI (Spanish Association of Video Games) featuring high profile panelists from the interactive industry who will discus subjects including how to make your first game and the role of video games journalists; while the under 12s cosplay competition is sure to delight the crowds.
