One area that all these brands have had to pivot towards is that of mobile gaming, with Chess.com now actively pushing its speedy Blitz versions of chess, PokerStars constantly refining mobile-friendly games like Zoom poker, and Hasbro developing an incredibly modern but true-to-brand mobile version of Monopoly.

Console Brands Getting Ready for Day They Are Obsolete
Of all the brands that exist in the gaming market, it is those associated with games consoles that perhaps have the biggest clout, with many gamers have grown up with certain consoles in their lives and remaining loyal to them as a result.
The three major players in the sector are PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo, although it is the offerings from Sony and Microsoft that have snapped up most of the market share of late.
PlayStation has always gone down the route of making sure their brand appears sporty, cool, and sleek. Xbox meanwhile have ridden the wave of games such as Halo, which announced the console as a potentially more powerful and futuristic option when compared to its Sony-made rivals.

It was a surprise to some industry insiders that both companies still went ahead with their launches of the new Series X from Xbox and the PlayStation 5. There is no doubt that whatever comes next from both companies will lead to a dramatic shift in branding, with Sony already making waves with their fresh PlayStation Store changes and the emergence of PlayStation Studio.

While classic games and console games have been around for what seems like forever, mobile games are still very much in their developmental stages, despite seeing meteoric growth in recent years.
This has meant that the title of becoming mobile gaming brand king is still very much up for grabs.
Some who are already pushing to claim that title include Nintendo, who have pivoted more towards the mobile market with their Switch device, as well as more upwardly mobile gaming experiences provided by the Wii. Not far behind them are the makers of Pokémon GO, Niantic, as well as Chinese powerhouse Tencent.
All these mobile brands look set to grow further in the coming months, as more and more people choose to game on their phone or tablet.
