Nexon Europe, one of the leading free-to-play companies in Europe, today announced that Navyfield 2, Nexon’s newest online real-time strategy (RTS) game, will be unveiled and demonstrated at Gamescom 2012 in Cologne, Germany by Nexon Europe next week. Navyfield 2 will be showcased alongside Shadow Company – The Mercenary War, another upcoming Nexon title. Both releases in Europe and North America are scheduled for 2013.
The return of the original naval RTS, Navyfield 2: Conqueror of the Ocean uses the real-time strategy model in a way that has never been seen before. Following on from well-known Navyfield, NF2 utilizes the impressive graphical capabilities of the Gamebryo engine and supports up to 192 Ships controlled by 64 Players. Playable ships range from destroyers to submarines, as well as aircraft carriers and are fully customizable down to their crew and technical equipment. It’s a fast-paced, action intensive Naval RTS that utilizes the Gamebryo engine to provide historical settings from the time period of World Wars I and II.
“We are very proud to add yet another high quality free-to-play title like Navyfield 2 to our portfolio” said Sung Jin Kim, Nexon Europe’s CEO. “Navyfield 2 is moving forward with a brand new take on the real-time strategy model and we’re really excited to be a part of it.”
NavyField 2 and Shadow Company – The Mercenary War, both coming to surface in 2013, are two great additions to Nexon Europe’s growing library of quality free-to-play games. In North America, Nexon America will publish both new titles.
