Pokémon fever shows no signs of slowing as fans celebrate the arrival of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon at the London launch
One thousand lucky Pokémon fans won the chance to be amongst the first people in the UK to play the latest Pokémon games at The Old Truman Brewery, London.
Bringing a slice of the new tropical Alola region to a cold night in London, fans and cosplayers applied to attend the event, giving them the chance to play the new games, meet battle designer Shigeki Morimoto and come face to face with Pikachu.
Seventeen-year-old Dion Chawey-Nartey, the first member of the public to own the new Pokémon game, said: “I’ve been so excited to play the new game – it feels crazy to be the first person in the UK to get a copy!”
With 2016 being the year of Pokémon, the buzz and excitement around the new games is as big as ever, with Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon recently announced as the most pre-ordered Nintendo 3DS games in history.
Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon for the Nintendo 3DS family systems are now available from £39.99 on www.nintendo.co.uk. Players can also download a free demo version of the games from the Nintendo eShop or via the official Nintendo website.
