Aon, the global insurance broker is joining forces with the Raindance Film Festival – calling on UK filmmakers and industry professionals to participate in the Festival’s first-ever image competition.
Participants are being asked to take a ‘Chance’ and submit an image that highlights the theme of risk-taking – a theme that also appropriately describes what is needed to succeed in today’s film industry.
Thirty of the best ‘Chance’ images will be shortlisted and exhibited as part of the Festival in a location in London’s West End. The winning image will be chosen by a panel of industry judges at a gala event on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016. The deadline for submissions for the image competition is Wednesday, August 31st, 2016.
Candice Lewin, Sales Manager and Insurance Broker for Film, Media and Entertainment Clients at Aon, commented on the partnership; “Aon has a long history of providing insurance solutions for large productions. We are now focusing on working with smaller independent filmmakers as this is an important and vibrant sector. We are excited to be working in partnership with Raindance for this year’s still images competition, as we recognise they are a driving force for the UK Independent Film Industry.”
Elliot Grove, Founder of Raindance, echoed this sentiment, “Aon’s insurance products have been of key importance to independent filmmakers and film productions over the years. Capturing mesmerizing images is a huge component of what we strive to achieve in this industry and as such, Raindance is looking forward to its collaboration with Aon and launching its first image competition”
