InnoGames’ fantasy city-builder Elvenar explores an unlikely duo with the release of its new Guest Races today. Unlike past additions (Dwarves and Fairies), Elvenar will release two creature types simultaneously for the first time ever: Orcs and Goblins – both explained in the video below
After players successfully unlock the new guest race’s portal, they will be able to discover the secrets of this contrasting coalition – with Orcs being straightforward, dull and aggressive beasts all about fighting and power, and Goblins being numerous, malicious and pesky critters always acting in groups. While these two very distinct groups work together, each side will always strive to have the bigger advantage from the collaboration than the other.
To produce Orcs, players will have to learn how to breed them in their armories. Therefore, at least one armory at level 20 is required in this new feature. For their part, the goblins will produce different kind of mushrooms that boost the Orcs in different ways. Once equipped with mushrooms, orcs can be sent on special missions to gather all kinds of loot. Additionally, they can discover distant provinces to ensure “peaceful but efficient” negotiations and they will also be needed to upgrade workshops in the city. Both functionalities will continue after the “Orcs and Goblins” Chapter.
Elvenar is a city-building strategy-MMO, set in an exotic fantasy world. Tasked with creating a flourishing city, players can choose between Elves or Humans as a starting race. The game’s focus lies on building and upgrading a city, but players also trade or explore the world map. The choice between Elves and Humans influences the way the players’ cities and inhabitants look and which technologies and units are at their disposal. The Elves live and breathe magic and exist in close harmony with nature, whereas Humans are ambitious and determined engineers.
