LEGO CUUSOO is a website where LEGO fans can submit ideas for models to be put into production – if a submission gains 10,000 supporters, it will be considered during an official review process. Brent’s ECTO-1 car and Ghostbusters team minifigures, hitting the sweet spot of the cult movie’s 30th Anniversary, passed muster (only the seventh kit to be approved since the scheme started in 2008) and with commercial modifications will be made into a retail LEGO kit.
“I grew up with a love of LEGO, video games and movies like Ghostbusters, so it’s a dream come true to have my hand in designing an official LEGO set based on Ghostbusters,” explained Brent.
Brent is also the designer of an exclusive hand-made LEGO minifigure ‘Bob’, available to the highest tier Kickstarter supporters of project Satellite Reign. Bet those will be worth a bob or two (ahem) given Brent’s new found community kudos.
Most of the time we spend poking around legal clauses on the bottom of press releases, so to be able to share this makes us feel warm inside. Have a great weekend and feel free to share with your readers.
