When reviewing equipment or games our writers will use a scale of 1 – 10 in order to score the item they’ve reviewed, with 1 being the lowest score possible and 10 the highest. These scores are purely based on the writers own opinion and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Invision Community Ltd.
Although 99% of all items are provided to us by developers, manufacturers and publishers for review purposes, this does not affect the score of any items our writers review. Our writers will always aim to be objective and unbiased in their writing but each will have their own opinion making them unique to other review sites.
We treat all items as equal prior to a review and score them fairly based on what they are, not what they are competing against. For example; a humble indie title will receive the same attention and the same critique as AAA titles and be scored on the same scale.
Below is a demo of how our score are achieved and worked out, writers can score elements of the game if they wish and The Good and The bad in a form of text. When it comes to the score, the site works out the average based on the individual scores given for each element, we are working on a way to override this option.
