If you are a KODI user, its another sad day for you as another repository has announced its shutting down ‘The Illuminati’. From what we know ACE known as the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment has sent out a number of cease and desist letters to developers within the Kodi community.
“We are writing to you concerning your development, distribution, and/or involvement to the operation of certain third party Kodi addons.
“The infringing add-ons provide unlawful access to protected copyrighted works, including works owned by, or exclusively licensed to, the content companies”.
The Illuminati is one of many developers to have to been hit by these orders, and even though they have closed down, the illegal underworld is just too big to truly stop it, someone will pick it up, create a new name and start again.
Kodi is not illegal, its the third party developers that offer access to pirated and illegal content like movies, tv shows, and music. Due to this ISP’s, the government, rights holders and broadcasters are targeting them and forcing them to shut down or face the letter of the law.
The Illuminati Tweeted this: “Sorry guys our entire team got hit with ACE letters today so we’re leaving twitter. “This group closes tomorrow am thanks for your support all.”
When you try and access The Illuminati repository you get this message –
