Netflix is partnering with theatrical exhibitors to bring the film to cinemas and remains the official global distributor of 22 July. The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival last month, followed by the North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
On October 10th, 22 July will be released globally on Netflix and theatrically in Los Angeles, New York City, Albany, Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Indianapolis, Miami, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Seattle, St. Louis, and Washington, DC. Internationally the film will have theatrical runs in Toronto, UK (13 cinemas), and on more than 75 screens throughout the rest of Europe including Germany, Scandinavia, Spain, Italy, Benelux and Poland. 22 July will have a special presentation in theatres beginning October 4th in Scandinavia.
