FitXR is launching a brand new ‘virtual fitness studio’ providing users with cutting-edge total body workouts from the comfort of their own home.
Available on Oculus Quest from July 30th 2020, FitXR will capture the energy of live fitness classes and the joy of gaming to make it the most fun and effective workout available.
At launch, FitXR will include over four hours of boxing inspired workouts, building on the team’s success with BoxVR, including classes to suit beginner, intermediate and advanced users. The workouts are choreographed by professional fitness instructors to give users a full body workout involving squats, lunges, jabs hooks and more. FitXR also includes a brand new feedback system, giving users the feeling of having their very own personal trainer within a live class. Three DLC packs will also be available as additional content from launch.
FitXR will be a one-stop virtual studio for all fitness needs with different styles of workout launching later this year. The new FitXR studio puts fun back at the forefront of fitness, introducing the most immersive, enjoyable and accessible way to train to the fitness market. All workouts have been created by leading fitness experts and are designed to give total body workouts to suit people of all fitness abilities.
Existing BoxVR users will be upgraded for free to the new FitXR studio, keeping all of their existing content while receiving the brand new features.
FitXR is the future of fitness, creating a version of group training accessible by anyone, from anywhere – something increasingly important with people spending more time at home. The new studio includes enhanced multiplayer capabilities to capture the social atmosphere and energy of live fitness classes. Six other players are brought into the on-demand classes (either live players or ghost data) to bring the collaborative feel of a class to life, while leaderboards and feedback from the trainer create a competitive element to each workout, pushing users to train to their full potential.
The new boutique fitness studio will also keep music at the core of its workouts – proven to make sessions more immersive and enjoyable. FitXR will include a selection of eclectic tracks, from Rock to Hip-Hop, with workouts carefully choreographed to the music.
Sameer Baroova, Co-founder of FitXR said:
“With the launch of FitXR, we are ready to tackle the fitness industry head on. Traditional gym offerings can leave people unmotivated and at times intimidated – our new studio offers a virtual fitness solution that is versatile and effective in helping people reach their fitness goals, but still remains fun at its core. Fun workouts are the ones we stick with, and this was the real driving force in creating FitXR.
The success of BoxVR has taught us that there is a massive public appetite for a fun and engaging way to work out that can be done from the comfort of your own home. We know that people may not feel comfortable going back to public spaces and FitXR gives users the benefits of a group workout from home. The exciting thing about Virtual Reality fitness is that the possibilities really are endless – that is why VR is the future of fitness. We’re looking forward to the reaction from fans to the launch of FitXR, and can’t wait to add new styles of workout to the studio”.
FitXR will be available on Oculus Quest at an RRP: $29.99
