Pixel Toys has announced details of its brand new VR shooter game, Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister.
Following the initial announcement of the game at its Facebook Connect event last night, Pixel Toys has announced further information around its brand new, narrative driven, action shooter game, with innovative technology maximizing the power of Oculus Quest and Oculus Quest 2.
In a series of firsts for the Warhammer 40,000 Universe, Pixel Toysβ latest development features the iconic Battle Sisters as lead protagonists. This also happens to be the first Warhammer 40,000 game to be released on any VR platform.
The latest game to join the Warhammer franchise will put the player in the power armour and wargear of Sister Ophelia, a veteran Sister of Battle. Players will battle through an epic story where Ophelia searches for her lost twin sister and fights for the future of humanity itself.
The new game from Pixel Toys offers Warhammer fans, both new and old, an unparalleled gaming experience, using the latest VR technology enables players to truly embody the Sisters of Battle. Fully immersed in the Warhammer universe, players can experience fast-moving action gameplay across wartorn planets, vast interstellar battle cruisers and alien strongholds, all rendered in VR with stunning detail.
Getting in on the action itself, Battle Sister features a range of iconic wargear from the Warhammer 40,000 universe for players to actually wield, for the first time in their own hands, legendary weapons including Bolters, Plasma Pistols and Flamers.
The game includes a deep narrative as the characters are brought to life by a range of talented actors including Victoria Atkin (Assassinβs Creed Syndicate, Horizon Zero Dawn, Kristin Atherton (RSC) and Obioma Ugoala (Hamilton, Frozen).
