Stranded: Alien Dawn players can explore a brand new Trading Outpost scenario as part of the latest major update to arrive for all early access players. The thrilling scenario invites players to expand their survivors’ horizons by recruiting workers, farming resources, and establishing a thriving trade from their new base.
By trading with four unique factions via their nearby ships, the group will earn Galacticoins, a new currency can then be used to secure trade deals or hire more workers, making the operation even more lucrative. Players can transport both traded resources and workers on and off-planet using Trading Pods and must ensure workers remain productive by providing respite and protection from their unforgiving alien surroundings.
The Sow and Sell update also brings new research options – such as money-counterfeiting technology and hydroponic growing racks – allowing players opt to maximise their trading exploits, while a vibrant selection of never-before-seen plants and recipes, such as the sweet and syrupy Mulchplant, and the mood-boosting Buzzshroom, create even more opportunities for trade.
Alongside trading, players will also be able to select an entrepreneurial new survivor, Vicente Santiago, for their group. After losing his family ranch to greedy banks, he boasts a haggler’s mindset and high farming skills – ideal for helping a flourishing base to build profits from its growing resource stockpiles.
