Dead meets lead is an isometric challenging action game, which is developed by KELDYN interactive. In the year of 1716, word reached the British shores of a plague like no other that had spread on the overseas islands. The plagues origin rumoured to be with the darks arts so before long, the church councils had assembled a force to deal with this new infestation and drive out the evil. Before the ships reached the islands a storm broke and all the ships were sent to the depths of the sea, only the commander survived who awoken on the beach of El Mirando.
During the game you play as an 18th century commander who is on a mission to obliterate evil, fighting his way through the island of El Mirando. A plague has struck the island and turned its inhabitants into flesh eating zombies. It is your duty to find and stop the dark minds behind the disease. The commander with his trusty sword, custom made blunderbuss and bible takes the fight to the disease ridden corpses and brings with him the wrath of god.The game certainly is not hard to pick up, left click to swing your sword and shoot your blunderbuss. Your right click to slam your mace to the ground stunning enemies and shoot a ghost bullet that travels through objects, however it will take a while to master and complete the achievements. There are eleven types of enemies in the game; from the common zombie and their infected cattle to the more mystic beings welling in the shadows on the island, each of them having a different mechanic to stop you in your tracks. The captain cannot enter the waters of the island or stray from the path as piranhas lurk in the waters and the disease malaria lurks beyond the paths.
The graphics in Dead meets Lead are spectacular the details in the environment and on the character models are defiantly something you donβt need to turn your head and hope gameplay makes up for them. The sounds in the game are average, some sounds pack the punch you desire while facing a horde of zombies for example the large mace slam. Some of these like the sword swing and the music do not give the feeling of action packed slaying.
Overall the game is a great grab and recommended to everyone, especially students looking to join the industry as it should be an inspiration to the level of work students can accomplish.
