We have seen sneak peaks at some upcoming new content coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons now we get the chance to check it out in Patch 1.2.0.
Nature Day: 23rd April to 4th May. Nature day promotion for Nook Miles+ members. Earn more miles than usual for completing nature activities. You’ll need to talk to Tom Nook at Resident Services to kick-start the scheme. A ‘special gift’ will also be available to those who take part.
Leif’s Garden Shop: Will sell shrubs and flowers. Be sure to visit other islands to get different varieties. He will also buy weeds from you at a special high price point; double what you get at Nook’s Cranny.
Note: Be sure to update the game ‘first’ before you start an in-game day. If you load the game through Isabelle’s Daily Announcement before you update to the latest version, Leif will not visit your island today.
Jolly Red’s Treasure Trawler and the Museum Expansion: Jolly Redd Sells art and other antiques. Some of the art will be counterfeit, and thus will not be accepted by Blathers for the new art wing, so be careful what you buy. To trigger the museum expansion and Redd’s arrival on your island, complete the following steps:
- Talk to Blathers
- Isabelle mentions ‘suspicious visitor’ the next day
- Look for Redd on the island itself, buy some art
- Donate the art to the museum
- Talk to Redd on the day of the museum upgrade
New Harv’s Island Models: You can now scan the amiibo for Rover, Cyrus, Reese and Redd for the purposes of photo shoots on Harv’s Island.
Nook Bank Changes: The interest rate at Nook Bank / ABD savings account has been reduced.
Free Items: Check your mailbox for a Bell-bag rug and and a World map. Three new Aloha Shirts are now available for purchase in the Redeem Nook Miles section of the Nook Stop terminal.

- You can check the authenticity of artworks by using the zoom function while purchasing them.
- A new tool ‘worm axe’ has been added to the game. It has a durability rating of ‘3’
