If you’ve somehow missed two of the biggest RPG heavy-hitters of the past couple of years, now might be the time to fix that.
ATLUS and Sandfall Interactive have teamed up to release a new Steam bundle combining Metaphor: ReFantazio and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The bundle offers a 10% discount off the current listed price — and if you already own one of the games, you can grab the other at 10% off as well.
On top of that, the discounts stack.
Stacked Discounts Until Late February
Right now, all editions of Metaphor: ReFantazio are 50% off on Steam until February 26, 2026. Meanwhile, the base version of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is discounted by 10% until February 16, 2026.
If you purchase the new bundle while these sales are live, you’ll receive an additional 10% off the reduced price shown — making this one of the better RPG deals currently sitting on Steam.
Two Award-Winning RPGs, Two Very Different Worlds
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 marked the breakout debut for Sandfall Interactive, going on to win Game of the Year, Best RPG and Best Game Direction at The Game Awards 2025. Not bad for a first outing.
Meanwhile, Metaphor: ReFantazio is the latest original IP from the team behind Persona 3, 4 and 5, and took home Best RPG, Best Narrative and Best Art Direction at The Game Awards 2024.
Both titles lean into turn-based combat, deep character systems and strong narrative direction — but they approach fantasy from very different angles.
Mutual Respect Between Developers
Interestingly, this bundle isn’t just a marketing move — both creative leads have publicly praised each other’s work.
Katsura Hashino, Creative Director of Metaphor: ReFantazio, described Expedition 33 as a title that shows “a deep understanding and sincere dedication to the JRPG genre,” calling it inspiring from a fellow RPG creator’s perspective.
Guillaume Broche, CEO and Creative Director at Sandfall Interactive, returned the praise, highlighting Metaphor: ReFantazio for its storytelling, its reimagined Archetype job system, and what he called one of the most charismatic RPG villains he’s encountered.
Broche also mentioned being a long-time fan of ATLUS, specifically referencing Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne (known to some as Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer’s Call), making this collaboration feel a little more personal than your typical cross-publisher bundle.
If You’re a Turn-Based RPG Fan…
Between the awards, the critical reception, and the current pricing, this bundle is clearly aimed at players who enjoy story-driven, turn-based RPGs with strong worldbuilding.
Whether you’re jumping into one of them for the first time or finally picking up the other to complete the pair, this is easily one of the more interesting Steam bundles we’ve seen recently.
The bundle is available now on Steam for a limited time.
