Black Desert Online available for free on Steam

Pearl Abyss has announced that a new era of Black Desert Online is coming as the organisation officially takes charge of publishing and will offer Black Desert Online, RRP €10, for free on Steam, along with login and stream rewards to celebrate.

On February 26^th, Pearl Abyss reclaimed the service duties of Black Desert Online from its long-time partner Kakao Games. The account transfer pre-registration began in January, 2021, and Adventurers can now continue their journey under the banner of Pearl Abyss. The publisher is committed to maintaining high standards of performance, server infrastructure, and community and customer service support in all supported languages for Black Desert Online.

There are a few steps that all Adventurers will need to complete in order to safely transfer all their Black Desert characters and continue enjoying the game from February 26^th onward. We recommend players who plan to continue playing the game complete their transfer by May 31^st, as any remaining data not transferred will be deleted.

Additionally, Black Desert Online will be free to download on Steam between February 26th and March 10th to celebrate the new chapter of the franchise as well as its 5th anniversary. Players can permanently download the game into their Steam library and join millions of Adventurers on their quest for power and glory.

Pearl Abyss will also be hosting another community streaming event at 21:00 GMT on March 2^nd. The stream will be filled with exciting information about upcoming new content and in-game rewards for viewers. Additional log-in rewards are also making an appearance, with Ancient Spirit Dust, Brilliant Crimson Fire Flower, Rare Tungrad Accessory Box and much, much more. Last but not least, all Adventurers can redeem a special console or PC coupon code to receive in-game care packages. Details are as follows:
