Geekbench reports
If the online database of Geekbench has to be brought into consideration, it was in January that some researchers found mention of the Black Shark Skywalker on the platform. This included an unreleased statistic of Snapdragon 855 chip (Qualcomm) with a RAM of up to 8GB capacity. The device is known to be on the test run under the Android 9 i.e. Pie. The scores have been 3494 for single core tests on Android while the multiple core test ranked 11149. Having known the metrics it is quite sure that the phone is sure to launch anytime in 2019 and the tentative dates are around April.
What was launched in 2018 April in China, the Dark Shark gaming mobile phone included a range of features like 4000 mAh battery, 5.99-inch screen, 8GB RAM, Snapdragon 845 SoC processor, liquid temperature regulator system and also a free gamepad called βBlack Shark Controller or gamepad that comes with the device for free. This gamepad is actually a controller which syncs with the phone and helps the players play a variety of games through a controller.
A similar version of Black Shark, βBlack Shark Heloβ was launched in October too. This one had an about 6.1-inch screen and up to 10GB capacity RAM and a storage capacity of 256 GB (internal + external). This too crafted a separate niche of its own gaining a good sale in China.
However, Xiaomi has not yet confirmed any official news on Xiaomi Black Shark 2 and the launch of the phone remains a mystery. There could be a possible launch in April but as long as there is no promotion video rolled out the news cannot be confirmed. People can also brace themselves that the phone might not be available around the world. This could be a possible launch of a new version for China alone. So keep following the latest news and updates and wait for us to unveil a confirmed report!
