Gamers with NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs are getting a free upgrade in performance today, when Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare add NVIDIA DLSS support to these blockbuster titles. With DLSS enabled, performance jumps, up to an additional 70%.
GeForce RTX GPUS Offer an Unparalleled Experience in Call of Duty titles!
NVIDIA DLSS is available for use in the popular battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s campaign, multiplayer, and Spec Ops modes. Call of Duty: Warzone is Activision’s phenomenally popular free-to-play, continually-updated battle royale shooter, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remains one of most popular online multiplayer games out there.
Following the release of a new update today, gamers can enable NVIDIA DLSS in Call of Duty: Warzone, Modern Warfare’s multiplayer modes, and Modern Warfare’s co-op Spec Ops mode. Enabling NVIDIA DLSS in the options menu will result in boosted performance on GeForce RTX graphics cards by up to 70% at 4K.
DLSS is already available in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer, Zombies, and campaign modes.
Call of Duty players can take the faster frame rates, or reinvest the extra performance in higher detail levels and larger resolutions, which will help in spotting distant targets, and make gameplay prettier and more immersive.
Naraka: Bladepoint and Mortal Shell Get DLSS, too
Other games that got DLSS support this month include:
- Cold Symmetry’s Mortal Shell, the critically acclaimed single-player action-RPG, received a major update on April 15th. That update adds ray-traced shadows, and NVIDIA DLSS for GeForce RTX gamers. Performance increases up to 130% at 4K in the game with DLSS enabled.
- 24 Entertainment’s Naraka: Bladepoint – the highly anticipated melee-focused battle royale added support for DLSS in a closed beta that rolled out recently. The result was up to a 60% performance boost in 4K. Thanks to DLSS, all GeForce RTX 30 Series players are able to enjoy the game’s action at 60 FPS+ with max settings at 4K.
If you missed out on Naraka: Bladepoint’s last closed beta, you can sign up to participate in another that starts April 23rd – simply head to the game’s Steam page and click the “Request Access” button. When the time comes, selected gamers will be granted access to the test, and can check out the game and its NVIDIA DLSS integration for themselves.
NVIDIA DLSS Adoption Continues at a Rapid Pace
This news follows the addition of DLSS to numerous other games this year including People Can Fly and Square Enix’s Outriders, which launched April 1st with a NVIDIA DLSS integration that boosts frame rates by up to 73% at 4K.
Integration is also becoming simpler for game developers, following the launch of the Unreal Engine 4 plugin which enables developers to add DLSS to their titles with less than a day’s work. Last week Unity announced that DLSS would be added to their game engine by year’s end.
