Creative T15 Wireless (2.0) Bluetooth Speakers with BasXPort technology Review

Bang for your buck, something used a lot these days while we struggle to keep our lives running, while our money gets tighter and our bosses just get richer, so when it comes to buying speakers, or anything these days, you are looking for brand, quality and price, and do they all meld together and offer us the perfect package.

So we recently scored a new peripheral company, in the form of CREATIVE, for our first review, we shall be looking at the CREATIVE T15 Wireless 2.0 Bluetooth Speakers. Creative have never been shy, when it comes to marketing their products and when you look at the box that these speakers come in, you can clearly see, they know what they are doing.

Lets bullet point the main features first

• Dedicated tweeter delivers excellent high frequency performance
• A large port tube delivers high output base
• Tone control that encompasses treble and bass tailors to your music playback
• Optimal angle tilt for excellent audio throw
• Stream music wirelessly from most stereo devices
• 5mm line-in for analog devices
• Headphones out for private listening
• Dedicated driver for distinctive midrange audio

As soon as these arrived off went the sound bar I was using, and thus put in place, not because the bar was rubbish, because these look better with my high end gaming setup. These do look fantastic, with their black and silver design and its blue fluorescent light used for Bluetooth. The front of the speaker has a shiny surface, so it’s not finger print friendly, but looks bloody awesome, the surrounding speaker is more of a matte finish, which is fantastic, as the majority of the time you will be handling the speaker from the top and sides.

Setting up the speaker is as easy as eating chocolate, unwrap, connect, enjoy, a Bluetooth enabled device will find the speaker wit in seconds, all you need to do it hold down the Bluetooth button for a few seconds, search for the speaker via your device, click connect and done.

When you first hear the sound, you might be thinking the same as me, not great, but that’s because you have not set the tone dial, I now have it set to max, which means great BASS and Tweets, and the amount of sound that comes with these speakers is enough for any PC order, to listen to videos, music or gaming.

BOOM! BASS in the place Ceiber, yes, we are back in the place, with Bass that is outstanding, for such little speakers, with so little power required to run them. I had to test the bass with some Dance music and for some reason I had started listening to ‘Combichrist’ the same band that put their music into the game ‘DMC Devil May Cry’ developed by Ninja Theory. The track is called Never Surrender and it’s the track used right at the start of the game when Dante meets the Demon Hunter.

I have to admit, I was rather impressed, the Bass was great, the quality of sound coming through was perfect. I am no sound crazed person that has all these apps or devices that can check the quality of sound coming though speakers and headsets, I simply know, that these performed well and I enjoyed the sound that it was throwing out.

I played games like Metal Gear Solid 5, Mad Max, Witcher 3, Shadow of Mordor, Wildstar, just to name a few, every sound effect, all music, all voices was clearly thrown out and you did not have to squint to hear anything.

There is only one issue, which I have found with all Bluetooth Headsets and Speakers and it is bloody annoying, videos are out of sync when streaming across, around 1 and up to 2 second delay. I have reached out to Microsoft and checked the web for advice, and there is plenty to read, but naff all that fixes the issue.

Now for a question, why do they call it Bluetooth? For one unable to find any Blue Tooths, the symbol looks nothing like a tooth, but lets go check the web… here I the answer and all I have to say is WTF come on “Bluetooth was named after a tenth-century king, Harald Bluetooth, King of Denmark and Norway. (Also known as Harald Bluetooth Gormson or Harald I of Denmark) Bluetooth is an anglicised version of Harald Blaatand, who was known for his unification of previously warring tribes from Denmark (including now Swedish Scania).”

Well I have learnt something today, and so have you, the reader, don’t you feel special, go to work,school,collage or university tomorrow and talk about the origins of Bluetooth, your head will get rather big, possibly due to the fact, you the only one that knows.

Back to the review of the Creative T15 Bluetooth Wireless Speaker, Lamens terms, well worth it, go, buy looks awesome, sleek, good use of Matt and polish finishes, easy to install and breams quality.
