The wait is finally over. Bloober Team has officially revealed a brand-new difficulty option for Cronos The New Dawn. The new mode, titled Temporal Diver, will arrive in early 2026 across all platforms, offering a more exploration-friendly way to experience the game’s atmospheric world.
Alongside the announcement, the studio has released the official Cronos soundtrack on Steam, complete with an immersive ambient music video that highlights the game’s haunting melodies and tense emotional beats.
Temporal Diver Mode: A Smoother, Story-Focused Experience
The Temporal Diver Mode is designed for players who prefer steady exploration over intense challenge. While the story and core gameplay remain fully intact, this mode adjusts combat difficulty in two key ways:
- Enemy health is reduced by 50%
- Traveller’s health is doubled
This makes progression smoother while still maintaining the survival-horror identity of the game. Combat remains fast, tense and impactful — only the health values change. After completing the Temporal Diver Mode, players are encouraged to revisit the game on the standard difficulty, Anvil of the Collective, for the intended full survival challenge.
Existing Difficulty Modes
Cronos: The New Dawn now includes three distinct difficulty levels:
- Temporal Diver Mode (NEW!) – Increased player health and reduced enemy toughness.
- Anvil of the Collective – The standard, balanced survival experience.
- Forged in Fire Mode – Unlocks after completing Anvil of the Collective, the greatest and most punishing difficulty available.
