Crunchyroll announces the winners from the fifth annual Anime Awards, a celebration of the best and brightest in Japanese animation from last year. JUJUTSU KAISEN was voted Anime of the Year, while Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! was awarded Best Animation.
This year 15 million fans voted around the world across 18 categories, eclipsing the 11 million cast last year. The UK was fourth in the world when it came to the number of votes cast, with 50% more Brits taking part this year compared to 2020.
Winners were announced during a virtual event hosted by Tim Lyu and Crunchyroll’s beloved princess, Crunchyroll-Hime! The show will also be available to watch on Crunchyroll on-demand.
