Passtech Games and Focus Home Interactive have released the first major free content update for Early Access rogue-lite Curse of the Dead Gods. After a successful launch with positive reviews from players and press alike, players can embark on new challenges imbued with fresh curses, weapons, relics and modifiers added in the Cursed Temple update, presented in the trailer below
Eternal Curse modes add more replayability and deadly new challenges
Joining prior updates to room variety and weapons, the Cursed Temple update brings new ways to play with the debut of Eternal Curse modes, a series of thematic challenges with special modifiers. Benefit from a constant speed increase, take less damage in the shadows or play with a retro display – but beware of side effects! Committed to frequent, meaningful updates
The Cursed Temple update marks a continuation of Passtech Games’ commitment to free content updates, as it joins over five content patches released within two months. More major updates are planned for the near future, including the arrival of the Temple of the Snake and its poisonous halls, filled with new mechanics, weapons and adversaries.
