Get ready for more chaos! Dead by Daylight’s wildly popular 2v8 Game Mode is making its return from November 12th to the 26th, and it’s packed with fresh content. This time around, the devs have fine-tuned the experience with community feedback and are bringing new gameplay features to keep you hooked. The latest update is all about turning up the intensity for both Killers and Survivors, while offering new characters, maps, and gameplay tweaks that’ll keep the thrills coming.
What’s New This Time?
Though it just launched a few months ago, the 2v8 mode is already getting a revamp! The dev team is all about listening to players and quickly rolling out updates. Dead by Daylight’s Product Director, Justin Brown, made it clear: they want to get this mode back into players’ hands as fast as possible. No six-month waits for another round—they’re keeping the updates coming to ensure fresh feedback keeps shaping the experience.
New Killers & Maps Incoming!
The original 2v8 roster of Killers was pretty solid, but this update takes things further. Alongside classic Killers like The Trapper, The Wraith, and The Huntress, you’ll now be able to wreak havoc with The Blight, The Spirit, and The Deathslinger. As for maps, 2v8 is expanding with new additions from the Yamaoka Estate and Grave of Glendale Realms, plus more adapted maps that fit the chaos of this mode.
Survivors Get Buffed!
Teaming up two Killers in Dead by Daylight is epic, but it can make things tricky for Survivors. So, to balance things out, Survivors are getting new Active Abilities and improved Unlock Abilities. Each Survivor class (Guide, Medic, Escapist, and Scout) will now have two unique abilities to switch things up. For example, Active Abilities will let you fix pallets, boost repair speed, or even pick yourself up from the Dying State! The new Perk system will also make unlocking abilities more meaningful.
Killer Classes Shake Up the Hunt
Killers now have four distinct classes to choose from: Shadow, Brute, Enforcer, and Fearmonger. Each class comes with its own unique edge, letting you tailor your gameplay to your style. Whether you’re into sneaking up on Survivors, overpowering them in chases, or going after injured players, these new classes add layers of strategy that could make all the difference.
The 2v8 Game Mode is coming back for a limited time, so make sure you hop in from November 12th to the 26th. Whether you’re a Survivor or a Killer, this update promises more mayhem than ever before.
