The newest major update as Deep Rock Galactic hurtles closer to full commercial launch introduces Machine Events, a pivotal new endgame system, as well as awesome cosmetics and more. In celebration of the launch, Deep Rock Galactic management is running a 33% sale on Steam, and have released a series of new beers, available at the Abyss Bar now!
Three different Machine Events can be found in random missions: Kursite Infection, Rock Mutation, and Tritilyte Crystal. Each of them offers a different timed challenge that must be completed in order to get access to the Core Infuser where Blank Matrix cores can be used.

- The newest update introduces Machine Events, preset gameplay challenges you can randomly encounter during normal missions – they need a promoted dwarf to activate, but everyone on the team will benefit from it, regardless of promotions.
- Three different Machine Events can be found in random missions: Kursite Infection, Rock Mutation, and Tritilyte Crystal. Each of them offers a different timed challenge that must be completed in order to get access to the Core Infuser where Blank Matrix cores can be used.
- Completing a Machine Event allows players to infuse a Blank Matrix Core with rare Weapon Overclocks and Cosmetic items. Blank Matrix Cores are obtained by completing Deep Dives and Core Hunt assignments in addition to standard rewards.
- New Buff Beers with effects in mission added to the “Today’s Special” pool
- Over a dozen new Gag Beers to unlock that will make you see double. From Slayer Stout to Burning Love, each beer comes with a side effect that will make you sparkle, freeze, teleport and more.
- New pricing for the beers based on new ingredients found in caves: Barley Bulb, Yeast Cone, Malt Star, and Starch Nut.
- Fourteen new victory moves have been included for when you successfully complete a mission including fingers guns, the crowd pleaser and flexing guns.
- Deep Rock Galactic is going on sale on Steam with at a 33% discount. From 10am PT/7PM CET today (21/11) until next Tuesday (26/11), meaning aspiring space mining dwarves can head to Hoxxes V1 for just $20.09, €18.75 EUR, £24.99.
