Ghost Ship Games has unveiled upcoming details about Season 5 for the hit co-op mining shooter, Deep Rock Galactic!
Fresh off the heels of the sixth-anniversary livestream, Season 5 promises exciting new content. In line with Deep Rock Galactic’s tradition, this includes the classic and complimentary Season Performance Pass, introducing a new mission type, new weapon overclocks, and the ability to activate previous seasons of the game!
To commemorate six years on Hoxxes IV, miners can partake in new missions and assignments, engage in an experimental trial to earn the MK6 Armor, enjoy double performance pass bonuses, and receive free beers at the Abyss Bar! Adding to the festivities, management has adorned the Space Rig with celebratory decor and offers unlockable party hats via an anniversary assignment.
Season 05 and Six Years in Orbit Anniversary Event:
- Season 05 Teaser: Scheduled for later this year, Season 05, themed as a prelude to Rogue Core, will introduce a new search-based mission type, new enemies, a complimentary Deep Rock-style Performance Pass, and new overclocks for every primary weapon, totaling 12 in all. Additionally, the game will feature optimizations, advanced cosmetic filtering, and new dance moves for miners to showcase their style.
- Party with Performance Pass Bonuses: Miners can unlock a Double Performance Pass Bonus by collecting and depositing a Year Six Anniversary Trophy during a mission, rewarding all involved crew members with double experience.
- Go into Year Seven in Style: Miners can unlock the fashionable Year Six balloon top hat through the Anniversary Bonus assignment, along with the MK6 Armor Set available for free via the MK6 Armor Experimental Trials assignment, providing permanent access suitable for all miner classes. For those who miss out during the anniversary event, the armor will be available as DLC upon the release of Season 05.
- Don’t Drink and Mine: The Interplanetary Miner’s Union has negotiated two weeks of free beer at the Abyss Bar to appropriately compensate workers for their time during the company’s anniversary celebration.
