Ettorito97 Crowned first double PES League Champion

In a dramatic conclusion to the PES LEAGUE 2018 FINALS, Ettorito97 defeated his close friend and CO-OP team mate Alex Alguacil in the individual event to be crowned PES LEAGUE champion 2018. His 3-0 victory was secured in Barcelona on Saturday evening and ensured an historic double title for the Italian.

Following intense competition from all over the world, the world’s eight best 1v1 players, and four CO-OP teams gathered in the famed Catalan city and campaigned to take the top spot and first prize.

His CO-OP success alongside Alex and fellow Broken Silence team mate ildistruttore-44 earlier in the day saw a world-first with him claiming victory in both competitions.

The Italian, who plays as Arsenal FC, was victorious in a nail-biting 1v1 final, which saw the 21-year-old overcome early pressure from his Spanish opponent to race into a commanding 3-0 lead. Out of respect for his friend, his celebrations were muted, even when he scored goals.

Ettorito97 – real name Ettore Giannuzzi – said: “After seven years I am the champion again and I am so happy. I am so happy to win both the CO-OP and the 1v1 titles and I am a little sad to beat Alex but it’s a game.

“I will probably be back next year to try and be world champion in 2019. I hope now that I can sign with a real football club like FC Barcelona, FC Schalke 04 or Liverpool FC. That’s the dream but I am so happy.”

PES LEAGUE is the official eSports tournament where PES 2018 players from around the world compete in tournaments with local and online events in key markets culminating in this gala event.
