The Pokémon Company group has unveiled an exciting array of new experiences for Pokémon fans worldwide during a special Pokémon Presents video presentation, streamed online on Pokémon Day. Celebrating the anniversary of the original Pokémon games’ launch on February 27, 1996, fans were treated to a host of exciting announcements.

Leading the pack is the reveal of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, a groundbreaking new video game set to launch exclusively on the Nintendo Switch™ family of systems worldwide in 2025. Embark on an epic adventure within Lumiose City, where a dynamic urban redevelopment plan is shaping the city into a harmonious haven for both people and Pokémon.
Additionally, fans can look forward to Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, an innovative app that reimagines the experience of collecting Pokémon TCG cards in a digital format. With immersive cards that bring the illustrations to life, players can dive into the world of Pokémon like never before. Plus, enjoy quick battles featuring streamlined rules based on the classic Pokémon TCG battle system. Developed in collaboration with Creatures Inc. and DeNA Co. Ltd., Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will be available as a free-to-start app for iOS and Android in 2024.
As part of the celebration, themed activities are coming to Pokémon GO between March 5 and March 11 in honor of “Pokémon Horizons: The Series.” Meet Liko and Roy, the dual protagonists of the series, in GO Snapshot, and witness Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat making its debut in Pokémon GO, along with a new attack: Volt Tackle.
