What’s New in Gone Fission?
Gone Fission doesn’t just add fishing—it reimagines how players explore Appalachia:
- Fishing Anywhere: If you can swim there, you can fish there. Try different bait, rods, weather, and locations to catch a wide variety of aquatic critters.
- Catch of the Day: Reel in common fish, 12 monthly rotating prized Axolotls, and Local Legends—ultra-rare catches worthy of bragging rights.
- ️ Eat or Craft: Fish can be eaten to restore health/hunger or turned into Fish Bits and used in special recipes for powerful effects.
- Linda-Lee the Hermit Crab: Share a snack with this Wasteland creature at Fishermen’s Rest for a chance to earn a Legendary item.
New Quests & Season 21: Gone Fission
The update also introduces a new questline to earn your first Fishing Rod and kickstart your angling adventure. Meanwhile, Season 21: Gone Fission launches in tandem, adding:
Fishing Challenges
- ️ Scaly new C.A.M.P. items
- Fishing Rod upgrades
- Themed rewards across the board
